The Optimizer

Preparing for a competition requires intensive planning.

Tight scheduling, allowing for recovery time, using the right supplements, and monitoring physical condition are all important.

Unfortunately, these topics receive too little attention in planning.

The focus is usually on the training sessions. A not optimal condition on competition day, overtraining or even an injury can be the result.

All the more I was happy to hold a performance seminar at the renowned ATT Zagreb on 27.07.2020. Athletes like Aleksandar Rakic, Ivan Erslan and Ante Delija participated.

We have addressed what I consider to be the most important issues for athletes:

  • Planning of a training week and the whole preparation
  • Planning of a competition
  • Make weight
  • Food supplements in the different phases

It was especially important for me to explain the part of supplementing micronutrients around the week of the competition.

The support of the mitochondria, the cell organelles that produce the so important energy in our body in the form of ATP, are fully in focus here.

It is important to understand that we can influence the quantitative and qualitative production with simple means. Magnesium alone, as a readily available and inexpensive micronutrient, contributes significantly to ATP production.

I will hold this type of seminar more often in the future.

I hope to see you at one!

Your Richard
